TAKACHA – A Noble Tradition from Kagoshima
Matcha powder has become beloved worldwide for both its deep flavor and its rich cultural heritage.
This matcha powder is perfect for cooking. Matcha powder can, of course, be enjoyed in the traditional way by whisking it into hot water. But thanks to its robust flavor and pleasant bitterness, it’s also a wonderful ingredient in cooking. Use it in matcha lattes, desserts, or even savory recipes like matcha salt—its richness adds depth wherever it’s used.
Matcha naturally contains catechins, theanine, and various vitamins. These components are known to support antioxidant activity, promote relaxation, and are often appreciated as part of beauty and wellness routines.
Store in a dry place.
If you're curious about matcha but are avoiding caffeine, we invite you to try our KUWACHA (mulberry leaf powder)—a gentle, caffeine-free alternative also rooted in Japanese tradition.
Crafted by the Nishitarumizu Family – Generations of Tea Artisans
TAKACHA (貴茶) combines two Japanese kanji characters:
貴 (Taka) – meaning noble, precious, or esteemed
茶 (Cha) – meaning tea
This tea is grown, harvested, and processed by the Nishitarumizu family, who have preserved and passed down their traditional tea-making methods for generations. Their craftsmanship ensures a refined and consistent flavor in every batch.
Grown in Chiran Town, Kagoshima Prefecture, TAKACHA benefits from the region’s mild climate and nutrient-rich soil. Kagoshima is Japan’s leading green tea-producing area, known for cultivating teas of exceptional quality.
