A three-piece kitchen set from Enjuku no Waza, made in Tsubame, Niigata Prefecture, part of the Tsubame-Sanjo region renowned across Japan as a home of metalcraft and blade-making. Crafted by Fuji Cutlery Co., Ltd., the knives are made from carefully selected cutlery steel using modern equipment and strict quality control, bringing the region's long-standing expertise into the everyday kitchen.
The set brings together the two knives most often reached for in a Japanese kitchen, along with a compact sharpener to keep them at their best.
The santoku knife — an everyday essential
Santoku means "three virtues," a name that refers to its versatility with meat, fish, and vegetables. With a 165 mm blade, it handles most daily tasks with ease, from slicing ripe tomatoes cleanly to chopping herbs and portioning meat. Its balanced size makes it comfortable for home cooks of all levels.
The petty knife — for finer work
The 135 mm petty knife is a smaller, nimble companion for detailed tasks: peeling and cutting fruit, trimming vegetables, or preparing garnishes. Its compact size gives you precise control where a larger blade would feel unwieldy.
A mini sharpener to keep the edge
The included mini sharpener uses an alumina ceramic stone to restore the edge in just a few strokes. Simply hold the handle firmly, place the knife straight into the sharpening slot, and pull it toward you a few times. The ceramic stone has four usable faces: when one wears down, loosen the screw and rotate it for a fresh surface. Compact enough to keep in a kitchen drawer, it makes regular care effortless.
Made in Japan
The blades are made of carefully selected stainless cutlery steel that resists rust and holds its edge. The handles are made of PBT resin, a durable material that is hygienic and easy to keep clean. The blade is engraved with the Enjuku no Waza name, a quiet mark of its origin.
Ready to give
Each knife comes with a protective blade sheath, and the set is presented in a slim, elegant gift box, making it an ideal present for a housewarming, a wedding, or anyone who loves to cook.

Care
- Before first use, wash with a soft sponge and mild dish detergent, then rinse well.
- After each use, wash with a soft sponge and mild dish detergent, rinse, and wipe completely dry before storing.
- Do not leave salty or acidic residue on the blade, and avoid storing in humid places, as this may cause rust.
- Avoid metal scrubbers and abrasive cleansers, which can scratch the surface.
- Do not put in a dishwasher or dish dryer, and do not leave soaking in water.
- Do not use in a microwave or oven, or store near open flames.
- Sharpening once or twice a month helps maintain a fine edge.
Use with care
- Do not twist the blade while cutting, as this may chip or bend the edge.
- For fish bones, crab shells, or other hard foods, use a heavier knife such as a deba. Thaw frozen foods completely before cutting.
- Do not cut on metal or stone surfaces.
- The sharpener is designed for double-edged stainless knives only. It is not suitable for single-bevel knives, serrated knives, scissors, or knives with chipped edges.
- Always pull the knife through the sharpener; do not push or saw back and forth.
- Keep out of reach of children.
